Amiri Decree
Accepting the resignation of the Prime Minister

Following a revision of article 56, 57, 103, 129 of the constitution. And upon our order issued on the 16th of Safar 1428 Hijra, corresponding to the 6th of March, 2007, appointing His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al- Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah Prime Minister,
and upon decree number 66 for the year 2007 to form a cabinet and the related amended decrees,
and upon the  letter of resignation submitted to us by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah on the 14th of Jamada 1428 Hijra, corresponding to the 19th of May 2008,

We ordered the following:

Article one

The acceptance of the resignation of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah and the cabinet, while each continues to conduct the urgent matters pertinent to his post until a new cabinet is formed.

Article two

This decree takes effect from the date it is issued, the National Assembly is informed and it is published in the official paper.
